Great Service!
Very flexible in regards to scheduling and one-on-one individual attention
Despite initial opposition to attending, my daughter is quite convinced that the SAT Prep Course is definitely helping her and she has almost admitted to enjoying it!
I like the attention that is given to each child as an individual.
My son stated that he finds Sylvan to be very
helpful to him. His grades have reflected a slight
Improvement, so that is good enough for me.
Everything
The program encourages student to be all that they can be. It gives students confidence and hope.
I believe that the program is helping my daughter but it is really to soon to tell. Maybe you can send me this questioneer in another month or so.
What I like the most is that my daughter is really enjoying and learning at the center. She looks forward to attending her sessions.
It works. Thanks to Sylvan, my son now has great grades in math and most importantly he has confidence in math. We just signed him up for reading and I am hoping that his confidence in reading will improve as well. I recommend it to other parents. I only wish they Sylvan would start tutoring with writing earlier. We would do that as well.
Friendly learning environment. Staff were very pleasant. Michelle was wonderful in listening to our concerns and offering suggestions. She was always willing to help and her door was always open to us.
very dedicated staff, the tutor are very pleasant and work very well with the student,my child improve in his weak areas after getting tutoring @ Sylvan Learning center
My daughter's grades have approved.
The instructors are knowledgeable and patient.
the most important thing i like about slyvan of teaneck is that they help my kids achieve their goal
the way of teaching, the method, the certified teacher, the curriculum and their friendliness.
My granddaughter goes to catholic school and she was not keeping up with her 3rd grade class and her parents were told that she would have to repead 3rd and that we should considere putting her in public school. I decided that public school was not the answere. I Proceeded to register my granddaughter at Sylvan Learning even thou the teacher said I should be very careful about these learning centers. She starded Sylvan in July two days a week in september she started one day a week and Sylvan has made a great improvement in my granddaughters ability to read and write plus they have build confidence in her she had none of this before she started at Sylvan. As grandparents we watch our little girl read everything from, books, posters, signs, cooking instructions, she even writes poems and does it all with such confidence. Thank you Sylvan
PS: she loves to go to Sylvan.
The method that Sylvan use to help children succeed.
Flexible hours, dedicated teachers, easy pay plan
My son Johnnie started Sylvan this summer. When he started he had very low to no confidence in himself. He did not consider himself a smart kid. It took a about a week but once he got use to it he really started to love it. The strange thing is he never complained about going. That says a lot to me considering it was three days a week in the summer. The staff and all the teachers were amazing and cared a lot about Johnnie and all the students. As a parent, I cannot thank them enough. Johnnie is a totally different child. He is happy and confident. He entered the 7th grade and his teachers have approached me already telling me how different he is. He now raises his hand and trys. These are things he never did. I owe all that to Sylvan and my smart son. Honeslty if your child is struggling Sylvan is the place to take them. It does work.
SImply, it works. The tutoring had an immediate impact on my son's confidence. We saw improvement on his math skills very quickly and after starting the reading program just a few weeks ago, I never see my son without a book. I've become your best sales rep, regularly recommending Sylvan to other parents. My son loves that he doesn't get pages and pages of homework and thrives with the individual attention of the tutors. Shesma (I apologize if I am spelling her name incorrectly) is always available to the parents to review progress, to check with the kids, rework schedules.
The quality of their program and the certified teachers.
qualified tutors w small teaching groups allow more dedicated time w the student
The staff in the Jersey City Sylvan are amazing. They are always friendly, positive, and caring. My son started Sylva in the beging of summer very down on himself. He thought of himself as a failure and not a smart boy. Within a week or two he was smiling and becoming more confident. Aside from being tired he never once complained about going to Sylvan and that is saying something considering it was summer. He loved his teachers and ALWAYS felt good about himself when he left. He is starting school this week and he feels good about himself. He is at his grade level and because of the positive experence he had this summer he believes something I always knew, he is a smart young man. I would like to thank everyone at the Jersey City Sylvan for putting a smile back on Johnnie's face.
I like that customized programs are available for my children so they are getting help in areas where they need it most. Also, I have seen results in my son's Language Arts skills on a day-to-day basis (i.e. in his speech and his writing). This tells me that he is retaining the subject matter and has incorporated it in his daily life (as opposed to just "learining" the concept for a test and then forgetting it once the test is over).
My son has had an immediate change of attitude towards math since starting Sylvan. I believe the way the tutors interact very directly with the students is very successful. The administrative staff is also very professional, very involved and very friendly.
everything.... i love the importance they always showed to make sure that my daughter was receiving all she needed.....
Friendly staff. Excellent educational services.
the teaching methods are very good.
Friendly environment. Also relatively small ratio of tutors to children.
