He enjoys the variety of materials you use in helping him learn and retain these concepts and says that "it is not boring like doing a worksheet the whole time". :) I am still trusting the program will bring him up to grade level, although he still seems rather far behind. The open communication, the willingness to work with the whole family and not just the student. My daughter's self-esteem soars when she walks through your doors, I can only open she brings it with her into other areas of her life as well.
I liked the way Melissa tried to accommodate the student's schedule and also when I was sightly delayed, it was worked with. I believe the tutors assigned to my student had excellent knowledge and personality to help the student understand the subjects taught and his knowledge did improve and he moved up two levels in just a short time.
I do feel, though, that the homework assignments could be better, i.e. more extensive and more challenging and need for more time in doing the homework.
Otherwise, I was very happy with the experience at Middletown's Sylvan tutoring center.

Very helpful.
How customized your lessons are and individualived it is. Our daughters grades have gone
from D's and F-s to A's and one B. It just goes to show you can take a
student that doesn't seem to know how to do there studies and is always
struggling , and spend alittle constructive time teaching them
and they turn into straight A students . Not to mention there self-esteem.
