I like the fact you sincerely car about my child and want to see her succeed. Plus you are willing to work around her schedule and willing to work to make sure she is with the tutor she connects with. Putting our daughter in Sylvan is the best educational decision her mother and I have made to make sure she is ready for a productive professional career.
What I especially like about the services at Sylvan is how they treat my son with respect, take the good along with the challenges and are not afraid of the challenges.
I feel that they see my son first as a person and his having autism is second, Im so grateful that they set high expectations and have the similiar belief that I do, which is he can learn, he just might have to do it differently. I also like that they agree with me when I say that "autism" is not a "green light" to be disrespectful and/or disobey rules.
On the occassion that things arent so great, no one has been rude to me, or even to my son, they put fourth a very professional approach with human kindness, mutual respect.
I have been telling many moms about Sylvan because many dont know that Sylvan works also with kids who have autism, or adhd etc..maybe someone might consider putting it out there, even making mention that you also can provide services for those kids as well.
The other big bonus to moms/parents who have autistic kids is that Sylvan is already pre approved by autism funding, that alone is a huge relief for parents.
On a personal note I do have to say that from the very moment I met with Bonnie she was exceptional. Very professional and also very kind, down to earth, with a genuine desire to help my child.
Im looking forward to spending many yrs with Sylvan, my boy has some catching up to do, but Im certain that once he establishes trust and builds his self esteem, I know he will flourish. Im grateful for all the staff at Sylvan in Abbotsford, and my boy likes everyone too!! :)
