You offer a nearly one on one instruction which helps my child stay focused and engaged. The progress reports are adequately timed to keep me in the loop of my child's strengths and weaknesses are and what's being done to reinforce the strengths and the strategies in place for her weaker areas. Additionally, Sylvan has established a strong rapport with the area schools and teachers so if there is a potential learning problem, the Sylvan instructor can have insight of what or how the child is learning and together, an academic plan can be made which only benefits the child.

Ally and I have had very good results with Sylvan. She takes math and gets help with homework and I love the study skills class. It gets her prepared and motivated for assignments and tests.

Even though the "programs" are standard, the teaching is anything but. Everything is very personalized to the student which is hugely important. The teachers and directors know the students too. They aren't just reporting test statistics.
The instructors are great and they care about my child not just academically but as an individual. Her confidence has gone up tremendously.

We've only had a couple sessions so far, but I like the way we receive an emailed report after each session and I like that there has been some effort to coordinate with my daughter's school teachers.
