The finest math programme for kids is Mathnasium, which we have tried out. Having no homework means parents are less stressed. Children learn in the centre but do not take it home. This kind of teaching is well liked by children and is advised.
Both my children in grade 7 and grade 12 have enjoyed coming to mathnasium and they have demonstrated improvements in Math within weeks of starting. My son struggled on his precalcus quiz and had received only 50 % on it...after 4 sessions with Mathnasium he managed a 87% on his unit test.
You're accommodating and flexible plus really good in connecting with kids.
My son has gained confidence in his ability to do math, and there is less fighting at home to get his math homework done because he isn't wondering how to do it. Good follow up from the Mathnasium folks to ensure we are seeing progress as well.
