Culligan exchangers were being used in building before I purchased it Nov 30th 1991... Due to age and some leakage old under concrete pipe burst 2012. Stopped river flowing into basement. It took longer to find a plumber "willing to listen" and install new softener. It wasn't "rocket science." The'd connected old underground cold-water feed to exchanger and used existing above-ground boiler pipes for each of 4 water heaters.
Every Plumbing Company Person, "3 of them," were unwilling to listen as I explained how to fix established hot water system... all argued, wanting to install water soften "without connecting" to pipes suppling 4 water heaters. OMG... I "finally" found a Maintenace Person for several large apartment complexes. He understood exactly how to fix problem. Since then, I've had only one problem since 2012 with current water softener system... A timer went out. Regular delivery person was told something might be wrong. He told me, "Nothing Wrong" timer is ticking. He'd not noticed system wasn't using salt as it should for months. After tenant complained a 2nd time about water softener. Mark came out, discovered bad timer & replaced it same day. To compensate for equipment failure and past charges when wasn't working... I was not charged for 2 or 3 months. I'll always recommend Culligan, especially for apartment buildings. Over 31 years of dependable service to me. Remember water exchanger installed before bought my building. As of 2012's upgrade to softener, I've no real clue the number of years Colligan came here, "every month," to replace water exchangers... Roberta Bellard "thanks-You" for years of service.
Convenience and delivery.
your driver was great. I just missed him going out of the my community and I saw him at the gate. I got his attention. I ask him if he can can back and put the salt in my soft water container. I just got out of the hospital. I was told not to lift anything heavy. He did not know that. In 5 min. he can back. He took care of putting the salt in the container. great customer service.
