Maggie and her team at Mathnasium work really well with both of my boys. My guys have struggled in Math for years but do not complain about going to Mathnasium and really like the tutors. My daughter hated math and was really struggling at school, but she loved Mathnasium and never complained about going. The teachers there made it fun and she was motivated by the rewards/incentives they offered her. She even went on weekends and during the summer! She got very excited about wearing her "I heart MA+h!" T-shirt when she went, and always told me who she saw from her school when she was there. I really appreciated the fact that she had the same counselor/teacher almost every time so they developed a relationship and she knew her needs and personality.
We really appreciated all the feedback and reports from Mathnasium too - it made it really easy to communicate with our teachers and tutors about how our daughter was doing and make adjustments to help her succeed in school.
Her math skills and scores improved over the course of the year; though she still has trouble in math, she definitely has increased in confidence and doesn't quit when she's challenged like she used to. She is now in 5th grade at a private school and currently making a B in math, where before she was in public school and struggling to make 2's.

We have nothing but wonderful things to say about Maggie and all the tutors at this Mathnasium!! Both of my boys started at the beginning of the summer, coming 4 days a week when we were in town and they were VERY nervous about starting let alone coming so often. BUT they do not complain about coming, have a great rapport with the teachers and we are seeing nice gains!!
We will be continuing through the school year and I'm excited to see how the teachers will be able to assist with homework and boost not only their skills but their resilience and confidence with Math!
We have done the summer program for my son which has been wonderful. It has helped him gain confidence and stay "fresh" for the upcoming school year and set my mind at ease that he is getting the help he needs to move forward without having to shoulder that responsibility myself.

My son, a bright happy 9-year old whose preferred after-school activity is playing video games, reluctantly attended one session, then immediately requested to attend once per week, then enthusiastically requested to attend twice per week. Now he never wants to miss a session.
We've been attending Mathnasium at LakeBoone for 8 months (during the school year and through the summer). He really likes the teachers, the other children, the math-made-fun learning, and to be sure, the awards (stars, candy, gift cards). He really has strengthened his math skills from school and learned areas of math that are not covered in his Montessori program. He probably is on track to enter 6th-grade at the highest level of math or perhaps take 7th-grade math as a 6th grader. This is a terrific program - its educational and fun.
Mathnasium at Lake Boone Trail had my teenage boys at “hello”.
I have never seen them respond this way. First visit, they both came out saying, “I will definity do that again!” They do not mind going at all!
Maggie does a complete assessment. She nailed down their needs and wasted no time getting them on track. Run do not walk, if you want your kids to excel at math.
What a wonderfully supportive family atmosphere! This team know how to make MATH FUN!!!
If only there was the equivalent of Mathnasium for other subjects!
