My 12 year old daughter started at Mathnasium a few months ago in order to catch up with the lack of direct Maths teaching she has received at school.
She was immediately impressed with the care that everyone has for the students. She quickly settled in and has improved immensely at Maths as a result of the one to one teaching that Mathnasium brings. After her first session she said to me that she really enjoyed the experience and couldn't wait to go back. Several months later she still looks forward to her sessions which for a preteen with a host of other priorities says a lot about the learning she is receiving!

This organization has helped my daughter catch up on the algebra she needed after a poor teacher experience at school. It was great to have a resource for this need, so that she could regain her love of math.

The staff is friendly and professional with the students in the center. My daughter gets individualized attention to help her with difficult homework and they coach her through her mistakes until she understands the underlying concepts. She is also given support and guidance as she tries to catch up on a lot of basic math principles that she missed the first time around!
Taylor has mentioned Johnathan a few times as being awesome, and two other boys there (one of them is always there on Mondays with Johnathan).
From what I can tell, the difference is being proactive and making attempts to be more fun, rather than waiting for kids to ask for help. Taylor told me early on that she would have to interrupt someone who was paying attention to their phone, and she felt awkward doing it. She preferred to just try and figure things out on her own in those cases.

My 4th grader scored very low, well below state average (which was pathetically low as is) and district/school on the end of year state testing.
I enrolled him in Mathnasium for his 5th grade year where he tested into third grade math. He was about to enter 5th grade! Panic set in.
Yesterday I received the results of his 5th grade tests. He is exceeding (3628) in math. Well above state (3589) and district (3611) average and close to school average (3635)
The numbers speak for themselves.

My boys enjoy going to Mathnasium because it is fun! Your child’s assessment drives their instruction. The staff is typically high school and college age which my boys relate well to. Educational efforts like homework, skill builders, math games and assessments are rewarded by spinning the fun wheel.
