Great class!
My favourite workout in NY. Excellent program & the team in Williamsburg are all absolute legends. Seen big improvements in my overall strength and fitness.
Good concept, friendly coaching, functional movements. Athletes can work as hard as they want to work. Class well structured and athletes have plenty of space to themselves.
I enjoy the variety of exercises and the company's focus on overall athleticism and not on body sculpting, getting a six-pack, etc.
Great classes and workout structure
Great workout! Excellent instruction, and very structured (which I need). Rob and Emily are great! I look forward to trying the different workouts this week.
Everything! Great stuff and programming!

Aamazing!
I've been all in literally since day one of Madabolic!
The people (gym goers and trainers) are amazing! Love the community and the fact that these workouts really work, I’m the strongest I’ve ever been!
Great overall workout. Great team
I like the variety in the workouts, the instructors balancing pushing us and supporting us, while focusing on proper form. Music almost always great (this is key...the day you guys start playing dubstep, I'm out)
The interval training
Different effort groups with options for heavier or lighter weights
Knowledgeable and accomodating staff
Options for alternative exercises
Clear description of the daily program
Very welcoming, supportive and rewarding environment
The coaching
Nice staff, make sure everyone understands the workouts and doing them properly. Facility is very clean!
Trainers, information, Environment,
I really enjoy the classes and the vibe.
Trainers actually train, instead of cheerlead! Love the structure of the program. I have seen visible results and my form has greatly improved. Feels like a true gym community too. Everyone is so welcoming whether you are a new client or a veteran.
I liked the energy in the space and also how quick the workout actually is!
This is a fluffy, feel good question, which is a great way to start 2023! While I don’t believe another question will follow, I’m dumping everything in this box - likes and dislikes.
As with anything one does, consistency is key. I like that I attend the recommended 4 classes/week. Those that complain about results or struggle with pricing, most likely aren’t following “the MAD way” or fully understanding something that is wonderfully different. Yes, outside of Rent, MADabolic is my highest monthly expense. But, it makes each class under $12, which is cheaper than a drop in, and again, offers consistency. It’s nice to know where you go for primary fitness. Consistency also breeds familiarity- in how MAD operates, trainer quirks, and faces among you. I think when people find their people, it helps with consistency because someone will always want to make sure they don’t miss out on something in class, so that chat moves from the training floor to the parking lot and connects people. Yes, I don’t follow the Nutrition Blueprint because honestly I find it confusing and have no clue what a macro is, but I appreciate that it’s offered, and I’m sure it’s a great supplement for others.
I like that aside from a hair blob or dust clump, the training floor is clean, and it is not crowded. I’ve never felt too close to the people at 3/6/9/12 o’clock. There’s a lot to be said for a place that DOES NOT smell like a gym! This is huge, clean and happy smells are important. I also really like we don’t have to partner up with anyone for anything. Individual workouts as a group - yes, please!
If you were asking for how to improve, my #1 thing would be updating the MAD app and Mindbody … even if I refresh both apps, every so often “Mindbody proper” displays different trainer information. I prefer to reserve my spot via the MAD app directly (though I do enjoy mindbody to see how many people are already in class if I am deciding between a few times). However, it is wildly frustrating to reserve your 4 spots for the week, hop over to Instagram and see a trainer switch that is not reflected in the app. I understand last minute changes (sickness and life happen) but if on Sunday someone is posting a change for the week ahead, that should already be reflected in the booking platform. As much as you hope for similar experiences, every person has trainers they do not jive with, so avoiding a “check-in surprise” or having to cancel and rebook because you are really not a fan of the sub, would be nice.
This is minor and way less important than updating Mindbody :) but any chance we’ll ever go back to using both doors? The bathroom/changing/locker room area is getting crowded. It would be cool if the lockers moved back to the hall and those doors were in use again.
Oh, and maybe a bit more notice about social things. I think I read an email a few days ago about class times / happy hour but have not heard a single thing about it once inside the doors … and it’s not written on the board (which I find to be a helpful place to toss monthly info). People like to plan in advance, so a little notice or a “MAD HH is always the 3rd Thursday of the month” type of thing could be cool.
Future planning … a mobility workshop would be cool. Taking a MADperks business (Restore or Stretch Lab) and having them host a class during an off time could be fun. Or renting out a pair of compression boots that stay on-site …
Example:
SFH is a product sold at MAD to aid in recovery. Compression boots are a product provided by Restore, rented out on-site at MAD to aid in recovery.
(Yes, this is for the people that really don’t like driving all over Charlotte to patronize businesses, but appreciate convenience).
That is all - for now :) and because I stand behind my responses and would be happy to add additional info, hi, it’s Name removed!
I really loved the atmosphere, workouts, and coaches
I was very hesitant to start these classes but I’m getting more comfortable each day with the workouts. I have a bad knee and it discouraged me from doing many things. The trainers usually give me alternatives to protect my knee and that just makes it even better. The workouts aren’t nonstop they make sure to have you get your rest in between rounds and that really helps. They are still very challenging and get more intense through the workout. I like that my form is corrected right away by a trainer on floor and they are usually motivating you through it as well. Everyone at MADabolic is so supportive and encouraging. Thank you JT, Mel, isle, and Jenni! I love it at MAD! 11/10
Awesome vibes. The workouts are explained and demonstrated very well. More importantly the trainers observed and showed me how to do the workouts correctly to prevent injury.
Scalable structured programming
Quality coaches
All of it!
Great workout, great atmosphere, efficient - starts on time. Would love to see more time options for classes.
The positive energy, expertise instruction, the vibe and super good workout!
