Real trainers, great structure.
I don’t have to think about the workout. It’s preplanned and rotates daily. That’s the best part about MAD! You don’t know what’s in store until you look at the board.
Still not sick of the format, even though I’ve been going for four years, and more importantly I’m still improving! Quality programming from the top and even better trainers - doesn’t hurt that I get to hit something either 😏

Everything about it. Trainers who coach with attention to detail as it relates to moving with good form, programming built on a strength focus, playlists that always keep me motivated during my workouts, and it’s home to the best community of athletes in DTR.

The workout and the instructors are amazing.
The program, facility and equipment are all top notch. The hidden asset is the staff. Great personalities, teachers and motivators, who also jump into the classes with us (i.e., become one of us). That also brings my fellow members together.
I've done a lot of different HIIT programs, and I think MAD has the best balance between strength, cardio & core. I like the feel of struggling with the heavy kettles, dumbells, and medicine balls, through compound movements, that surprisingly don't feel like traditionally weight lifting. It focuses more on my building my core, balance, lactic threshold, and functional body strength.
The community and the coaches how direct their feedback is!! Also the style of class makes it conducive to making friends :)

I really enjoyed the class and the trainer. It was crowded and the trainer and other members were very helpful.
I am a long time member and don't have much to complain about. I think adding in a bit more upper body (ie pushup movements, etc) would be nice.
The one complaint I have is regarding the music playlists. I have heard many others talk about the playlists and had new members question it as well. This isn't a genre issue at all. I am pretty open to all music and don't mind foul language, etc for the most part. I have to say that it seems like the music has gotten progressively more offensive (if that's the right word) over time. It seems like a lot of songs are extremely sexually oriented and using foul language so much that it can actually be distracting from the workout. Also the consistent use of racial slurs throughout some songs (I don't mean a little here and there, I mean throughout some songs) is something I do not care to hear. It is fairly obvious talking to other members and seeing the looks on their faces during some of these songs that it is too much.
Good news is we love Mad... bad news, that is in spite of some of the playlists.

The community. It is such a positive group of individuals starting with the coaches. There is no judgement or pressure just encouragement and understanding. I enjoy that each day is something different and that there is always an opportunity to challenge yourself both physically and mentally.
Good full body workout. Mix of activities including cardio and strength. Fun atmosphere.
I’ve tried out almost every HIIT/interval group fitness gym in Raleigh. Madabolic is by far my favorite work out due to the dynamic mixture of weights and cardio in every class. If you have a sport background or not, you can find a safe and effective work out at Madabolic.

The program. I’ve tried most programs in GVL that others compare to MADabolic and I can’t find another that’s as effective or strategic as this one. Everything from the trainers to the movements, this program sets itself apart. There is nothing trendy about this gym when you look below the surface. The program design is well-written and provides the most functional and effective movements one needs for their everyday training. Whatever your lifestyle, MAD will guarantee a better YOU.
