Great way to teach your kid to work independently!
My three children, ages 9, 13 and 14 have all truly benefited from Mathnasium for the past few years. The instructors are extremely patient and very knowledgeable. They not only help my children understand challenging math topics, but also find a way to make it fun and interesting. My children often bring in homework which is helpful, while learning new concepts.
The scheduling flexibility has really helped our family with the many changes we encounter throughout the school year. Matt, who manages the West Newton branch has been wonderful to work with and such a bright, polite and fun guy who my children are always happy to see every week.
Sarah has also been very helpful with schedule changes and communication regarding our appointments. She is always extremely pleasant and happy to help!
Mathnasium has been great for both our girls through the years. They liked going there, the tutors. The rewards, and seeing sone of their friends.

The experience has been very positive for our 4th grader - gave her the patience, confidence, and support needed to hold her own in her school (she fell behind during online school). I always felt that the administrators and teachers looked for the best way to encourage my daughter and for opportuntiies to create positive associations with learning math.
We love how supportive and friendly the teachers are. They are also great at providing updates on how your child is progressing and what they still need to work on. Their are great at communicating with parents.

My nine-year-old daughter had a very good experience with Mathnasium. After remote school during the pandemic, we just wanted to make sure she was back on track with her math and also getting the extra math challenge that she enjoys. Mathnasium was able to provide both to us. Their assessments were also able to reassure us, as parents, that she is where she should be in third grade math. We would recommend Mathnasium to anyone looking for extra math support or an extra math challenge.
The entire process of working with Fresh Pond has been excellent. While the intake was a bit longer than expected, the weekly sessions have been so effective in boosting my daughter's skills and confidence. In just one month the positive improvement has been significant.
Online scheduling makes it easy for this busy mom and the female-identifying, femme teachers have been great role models for my daughter.

Their overall approach is very systematic. Beg with their thorough evals of the students' skills covering a range of math topics and problem types (seeing thereby where help is more so needed), to the superior match skills and patience of the tutors to the raneg fo types of help they offer--ie, immediate homework is often a focus for us so that my son can get the support he's needing in real time. My son has gone to see this office, either in person or virtually, off and on, between grades 3-11. He's a junior now and the latest materials--incl trig and calculus, the tutors have just as well rounded an approach to same as they would the grade 3 long division.

My Grand daughter was very anxious about math after learning remotely for 2 years. Our goal was that she be able to learn math in a comfortable, relaxed way. Mathnasium was everything we hoped for. Her starting point was tears and the end point was confidence and smiles. We are all so grateful.
My daughter was struggling with geometry. She started attending Mathnasium twice a week, and by the end of the quarter had raised her geometry grade by 10 points! She has found the tutors to be helpful in explaining the lesson in an easy-to-understand manner. It's wonderful to hear her say that she actually understands what she's doing! The tutors are personable which helps my kids feel engaged and comfortable. Each of my three kids learn at their own pace, all doing well as they go through the more advanced materials.
The tutors are highly skilled in terms of teaching math and also in terms of understanding young children and adolescents. Our grandson liked each tutor personally and respected them as teachers. The tutors started each session asking him how he was doing in general, and if there was any homework he would like help with. They really listened to him and we’re very caring. He was engaged in learning the math because the tutors were interested in him, and because the process was well structured. Because of his ADHD we decided he needed a 1:1 tutor, otherwise we would have stayed with Mathnasium indefinitely.
Both of my kids have really developed confidence and an enjoyment of math!

We have had a great experience at Mathnasium. My daughter (7th grade) loves going to class and calls it "math zen"-- the calm environment combined with the individual attention targeted at the areas where she needs reinforcement has really worked for her. She has really enjoyed working with all of the instructors. We have seen a huge improvement in her confidence in her math skills.
