Mathnasium is an excellent program for students who need to work on math skills they may have missed or not understood at school. It is also great to help kids who love math or want to get ahead in math. The program evaluates students’ math skills and starts working wherever the students are. As the students progress, parents get progress reports. The work setting is quiet and purposeful with few if any distractions and appropriate individual attention. This program encourages a good work ethic and serious but not burdensome study habits. As a retired classroom teacher, I applaud Mathnasium.

My son loves mathnasium and it has been great for him. The teachers are phenomenal. I only have a few suggestions:
-the limited hours can be tricky
-my son doesn’t always feel like he can bring work from school that he is confused on. Not sure why, maybe because what he is working on at school doesn’t align with mathnasium. But it could be more culturally encouraged.
It's been fantastic. The evaluations and communication are clear, helpful and timely. Our son has improved slowly but surely over the last couple of years and never fights going to Mathnasium! The only reason why not score of 10 is cost--it's out of reach for many people, although that's also true of one-on-one tutoring. We really appreciate you!
I was impressed with how the staff caught on to what exactly my daughter needed after her assessment. I was definitely confident we made the right choice in enrolling her. The staff is very competent and friendly. I’m excited to see her grow her math skills with mathnasium!!

My son loves studying at Mathnasium.
My 3rd grader really benefited from her time at Mathnasium. She gained so much confidence in her math skills! She enjoys math now and homework isn't filled with anxiety and tears. The instructors are so kind and kept her motivated. They took the time to get to know my daughter and kept us informed regularly on her progress. I can't say enough wonderful things about the instructors at the NE Portland Mathnasium
My kid loves going to Mathnasium and I have seen their math confidence explode! They choose to go over other activities and when I pick them up they are happy and eager to share their new understandings. Not needing to make & meet specific times takes the stress out of going. I’ve found all the instructors helpful and my kid feels like they really know how to teach the concepts in ways they understand and are very encouraging.
My daughter really enjoys the instructors that work with her. She says they are all really nice. In addition she is excited about the progress she is making and all of the cool math tricks that she is learning. I definitely think Mathnasium is a worthy investment.
Mathnasium has been very helpful in helping my 4th grader recover from the learning loss from prolonged school closures during Covid.

My son is THRIVING at Mathnasium! The tutors are top-notch and they are patient and kind and very good at getting him to understand math concepts that were recently very tough for him to understand. He will be staying in the program all throughout high school for sure! I can't thank them enough!
