What is the most important reason for your score?

The Northeast Louisiana Homebuilder's association is under great leadership with Paul Stephenson and the board of directors. They keep the membership active which in turn helps the Louisiana Construction industry as well as protecting the citizens of our area when making their choices to build. The association also works with state legislators and regulatory authorities to make sure laws and regulations are valuable to the citizens of our state without being overly burdensome to the builders.

I truly believe that every one of us who earn a paycheck from the residential construction industry here in Las Vegas, where most of us call home, owe it to each other and the residential construction industry to join and support this organization which fights to preserve and protect our best interests as well as our livelihoods and careers.

The Hba brings competitors together and fosters their co-operation in common problems that wouldn't happen outside of the group. We have been able to get help through the association to research problems or processes.

What is the most important reason for your score?

I highly recommend TBA membership because I have gained much knowledge from other builders and remodelers about business practices and problem solving. I have also learned important methods of installation on the latest products in the building industry and have made many new business partner connections through the years that have turned into meaningful relationships! By getting involved in TBA I have seen the behind the scenes work that FHBA and NAHB does to advocate for the building industry in the legislature both locally and nationally on our behalf.

There's an over all big picture of the importance of the HBA. This is the reason I would recommend the HBA. Things that are monitored and addressed are: new codes that impact the home building industry that could equate to unnecessary costs to the new home owner, legislation that impacts the industry, jobs provided by the home building industry (there are many). Support the industry that helps you make a living.

A long time member, I still maintain my membership even in retirement. The friends I made while active, still have remained solid to this day. How can someone doing work in a business call themselves a professional, without the backing of a solid organization?
