SCWBA is a great networking tool for others in the building or home improvement space. Although I do not need NAHB services right now it is a nice tool to have. I think the POH is a good event, and am looking forward to new homeshow concept. Builders/Brew events are great for networking.

The HBA of Greater Des Moines works very hard to bring value to its members and is very aware of its responsibility to promote the trades, encourage kids to consider a career as a tradesman and social responsibility. Dan and his team do an amazing job.
Networking is great and the people become your friends and business partners. It has been a great experience in my opinion. You have to put the work in to get what you want out of it.

Truly, it is because that I am on the board that I realize even more what the HBA does and can do for smaller companies. For those sitting on the sidelines, they just don't see this work being done or realize we all need a hand in this industry.

I have recently spoken with several people who moved to the area and found builders they thought would do a good job and didnt come through for the home owner. When I told them about the HBA to contact for information, they said they really wished they kney that was an option when they moved here!

As a small builder we can not afford to have all the specialist it takes to run a profitable home building business in today's business environment. The association has given me more knowledge that I could have ever obtained on my own. I can never repay the association for all it has given me.
