I'm looking forward to this Governor (Newson) discovering that the 3.5 million new homes in in the next seven years for all of California ... is like 500,000 new homes per year, something that has never happened in CA ever .. except maybe right after the War (the Big War: WWII) ... the one in which I was born into in 1943 ....

The Cdbia is a wonderful organization with a ton of benefits outside of just the networking.
There is a plethora of knowledge to tap into with our members. Your not just a member of one but three organizations , CDBIA, FHBA, NAHB that is three times the voice and a lot of power when important issues in the construction industry arises. Not to mention the friendships are a bonus!
We have had a great experience with them. Great group of people.
Networking and functions
We need to build membership and keep competent leadership.
We believe that SUHBA is our greatest advocate within the home building industry and it is how we unite as an industry to ward off possible legislative threats and promote a better industry for all.
Our industry must be at the table when rule and regulations are made. We may not always win the debate but we must be heard. Those in the building business, be it builder, supplier, finance or insurance, who are not members are trying to ride the bus without paying.
I truly believe that everyone who earns a paycheck directly from the home building industry should be a member of this organization since they represent our industry collectively at a level we couldn't possibly do in best interest of all of us and our careers.
We have found savings by using Homebuilders SIF for our worker's compensation insurance. We enjoy networking with builders and other associates. We also enjoy being a part of an association that gives back to the community. We have gained personal friendships through membership as well.

Being a part of the HBA you can network among all sorts of businesses.
If there's something I need to have done I have the HBA book and I look up businesses and call them. I feel confident I will be working with quality business owners.
